Sino-US cooperation to build wind power plants in Texas
Composed by Chinese and U.S. business group announced a partnership agreement which aims to West Texas in the United States to build a total installed capacity of 600 MW of wind generator plants and use China-made wind turbine equipment. The 1.5 billion wind farm project’s main financing came from Chinese banks, and by the U.S. government loan guarantees and financial support.
The Chinese representative on the project – China’s first wind turbine manufacturer Energy Group Chief Operating Officer Johan said: “The wind power project to reach an agreement because the U.S. renewable energy investment liberalization.” The project U.S. partners, including the United States Renewable Energy Group and is headquartered in Austin, Texas Xiai Luo wind power company. Items used in wind turbine generators will be produced in Shenyang, the city’s vice mayor Yang Yazhou said that this is the first Chinese manufacturer exports to the U.S. wind turbine generators.
The wind turbines plant will use 240 units of 2.5 MW turbine fan device was built in West Texas, 36,000 acres (about 22 acres) on the site. Building program started in March 2010 is expected to create 300 temporary jobs and about 30 permanent jobs. The total installed wind power capacity of 600 megawatts, is expected to meet the 13.5 per year to 18 million U.S. households demand for electricity.
